Ciara went to court yesterday (May 17th)
to ask for full custody of her young son with Future, but came out on the
losing end of the battle.
Future was in attendance for the
proceedings, TMZ reports, and asked for joint custody of the child, Future
Zahir Wilburn, who turns two years old Thursday (May 19). The judge ruled in
the Atlanta rapper's favor and rejected Ciara's arguments that he is a bad
father and is not present in her son's life.
The singer is now engaged to Seattle
Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson, who has been seen with Ciara and Future
Jr. at football practice and at Dodgers Stadium.
Future and Ciara have an ongoing $15
million lawsuit between them. She first filed the case, seeking damages for
slander, libel and defamation. He countersued, saying that her claims are empty
and are made out of desperation for attention and to spark her flailing music
career.
