He took music as a profession in 2012 when he just obtained his Advanced levels. He said his mentor is Michael Bolton, an old school singer, which is quite understandable from his songs. Cameroonian-born Afro-soul music artist Myra Maimoh who grew up in Bamenda, North West Region is set to release her long awaited album UNIQ in a few weeks. When asked why she decided to name the album UNIQ, here was her response;

The young Cameroonian footballer, now hip pop rapper Emma Mimba, is well known on social media (Facebook, YouTube, Instagram etc.) for his phenomenal rap skills.
