Laptops Gift: Students Take to The Streets With a “Thank You’’ Message to Biya
Hundreds
of individuals posing as students took to the streets in Yaounde and Bamenda
Wednesday in a “thank You” march in appreciation of the announced offer of some
500.000 laptops to university students in Cameroon by the head of state.

Cameroon Soldiers Accused of Trafficking by Central African MP
A Member of Parliament representing the
Nana-Bakassa District in the Ouham Prefecture of North West Central African
Republic (CAR), Roland Achille Bangué-Betangaye, has accused Cameroonian forces
serving in his country under the banner of the United Nations Multidimensional
Stabilisation Mission of trafficking in minerals, including gold and diamond.

Criminal Court Says it Has Recovered Over 552M FCFA From Gov’t Embezzlers

The Special Criminal
Court, SCC, has rendered a balance sheet of its stewardship of the past four
years of existence.
A creation in October 2012
by President Biya, a recent report by the court says so far it has recovered a
totality of some 552,588,642 FCFA from indicted government embezzlers.
The SCC is still expecting
some of the accused who are now under investigation to pay back into the state
coffers the sum of 4,587,756,658 FCFA, being total amount they are being
accused of embezzling as at 2015, French language daily, Emergence reported.

President Biya, appoints former SDO, governor to Electoral board
In a bid to strengthen the much
criticized Elections Cameroon—ELECAM, President Biya has in a Presidential
Decree announced Thursday evening, appointed two former Civil Administrators to
the Electoral Board. The two are Enow Abrams Egbe and Haman Dairou.
